The text was created by "The Canadian Historical Text" Institute, a consortium of researchers, historians and authors led by Edmond MacCallum. His organization, the Centre for Canadian Studies, has made the book available for free on the internet. The text is available also in English, French and Arabic.. The first English edition, published in 1994, gave very few words on what was happening in Canada in the 1990s and only one sentence in the prologue. The second edition, produced a few years ago, was made somewhat more readable.. It remains only in English for the official bilingual editions, and it is not available in any of Canada's languages. But the text is more than five times more readable than the official English translation, and the official translation has been translated into as many as six languages. 44ad931eb4
